Hospital for Special Surgery’s (HSS) Division of Rheumatology is proud to be participating in the Lupus Research Alliance New York City Walk with Us to Cure Lupus.
HSS is consistently ranked as one of the best in the nation in rheumatology by U.S. News & World Report in its “Best Hospitals” survey. Our team of physicians, nurses, social workers, physical therapists and other professionals are deeply devoted to improving the health of the many women, men, and children affected by lupus and other rheumatic diseases.
HSS is recognized for our expertise in lupus research and providing individualized, state-of-the-art care, support, and education to patients living with lupus through our Mary Kirkland Center for Lupus Research, Mary Kirkland Center for Lupus Care, Barbara Volcker Center for Women and Rheumatic Disease, and our Lupus and APS Center of Excellence. Additionally, with more lupus support and education programs than any other hospital in the country, HSS is also a leader in providing the highest quality of psychosocial support and education to patients and families impacted by lupus.
Lupus Research Allilance is an important partner in our work to develop better treatments for lupus and ultimately a cure. Through generous support from the Lupus Research Alliance, HSS scientists have been able to conduct critical research to advance the understanding of the underlying causes of lupus and improve care for this highly complex disease.
We invite friends, family and colleagues to join our team to raise awareness of lupus and funds for lupus research.
Thank you in advance for your support!
