Do you want to join us at the NYC Launch Reception for the 2010 New York City Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Walkathon will be on Wednesday, August 11th at:

On Saturday, October 16th, I will be participating in the 2010 NYC Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Walkathon. Join me in the fight against lupus by making a pledge on my behalf, or becoming a member of my team and walking alongside me.

The ALR Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Walkathon is a national event that changes lives and brings people together in the quest to end the suffering caused by lupus. Because ALR?s Board of Directors pays all administrative and fundraising costs, 100% of your donation will go to fund research into lupus a devastating disease that still has no cure.

  • An estimated 1.4 million Americans suffer from lupus, making the disease more common than leukemia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis.
  • The exact cause of lupus is unknown
  • Lupus has no cure

    • I chose to walk with ALR because:

  • 100% of all funds raised go to support lupus research because the Board of Directors pays for all the ALR?s fundraising and administrative costs
  • The ALR has committed $60-million to research since 1999
  • The ALR is the largest private funder of lupus research in the world
