Having lupus sucks! I'm always in a state of flux and have physical ailements which I try to hide from others. Why hide them? Well their isn't anything but complaining to others about having this illness and doing this walk which helps the cause.

Join the Quest for a Cure!

On Saturday, October 22, 2011 I will be participating in the 2011 New York City Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Walkathon. Join me in the fight against lupus by making a pledge on my behalf, or becoming a member of my team and walking alongside me.

The ALR Walk with Us to Cure Lupus Walkathon is a national event that changes lives and brings people together in the quest to end the suffering caused by lupus. Because ALR?s Board of Directors pays all administrative and fundraising costs, 100% of your donation will go to fund research into lupus a devastating disease that still has no cure.

• An estimated 1.4 million Americans suffer from lupus, making the disease more common than leukemia, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and cystic fibrosis.
• The exact cause of lupus is unknown
• Lupus has no cure

I chose to walk with ALR because:

• 100% of all funds raised go to support lupus research because the Board of Directors pays for all the ALR?s fundraising and administrative costs
